National Youth Day was commemorated on Sunday, 12th January 2026 in the college auditorium, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The event brought together B.Ed. trainees in a series of cultural and intellectual tributes.

The programme, anchored by Anjali and Amarjeet, opened with a keynote address by Assistant Professor Shri Shashi Kumar Shekhar on Swami Vivekananda’s life, philosophy, and timeless teachings that continue to resonate with today’s youth. Richa Pandey recited a poem, while Pratibha Kumari and Rajnikant Kumar delivered speeches reflecting on the Swami’s ideals. Lalti Kumari added a musical tribute to the proceedings.

A central highlight was a thought-provoking drama titled ‘System vs Sensitive Youth’, performed by a large ensemble – Ridhi, Pooja, Kalindi, Gunjan, Rekha, Priti, Chandan, Anshu, Rohit, Nikita, Pummy, Archana, and Chandrabhushan – exploring contemporary challenges facing young people through the lens of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. This was followed by a dance performance by Pushpraj.

The celebration concluded with a stirring drama on India’s awakening and the role of youth, featuring Richa, Pratibha, Nisha, Pushpraj, Rajnikant, Geeta, Vandana, Soni, and Premlata. The vote of thanks was delivered by Archana Kumari.
