Amaltas College of Education began its Value-Added Course on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) on 5 August 2025 with an inaugural lecture by Manas Mukta Shrimati Yashomati Ji. She spoke on the Ramcharitmanas sharing insights on Shri Ram’s personality and character, and valuable life lessons that she advised the students to observe and learn from.
The course has been curated by Assistant Professor Shri Shashi Kumar Shekhar, a UGC certified IKS Master Trainer, especially for B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. 2nd year students. Its curriculum covers the foundational pillars of Indian wisdom included in the Bhagavad Gita, the Vedas, Neetishastra, Arthashastra, as well as knowledge systems related to water resources, agriculture, and other ancient disciplines. It has been designed to help them integrate this learning into their own pedagogy.
