Shashi Kumar Shekhar is an Assistant Professor at Amaltas College of Education and a member of its Board of Governors. He is a UGC-Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Master Trainer. With an M.Ed. and M.Sc. from the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), he brings a multidisciplinary approach to teacher education, specializing in Pedagogy, Educational Psychology, and Assessment. His work focuses on seamlessly incorporating IKS into regular school syllabi, ensuring its relevance in contemporary classrooms.
Beyond education, Shashi has actively engaged in environmental and ecological research. He has been trained in agriculture, botany, and water management at IIT Indore, as well as in forest soil sampling techniques at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour. He also worked for IEED (NGO) as a Soil Scientist, conducting chemical analysis of soil in the Gaya Forest Division, a project sponsored by the Department of Environment and Forest, Government of Bihar.
As a master trainer in IKS, he has completed specialized training programs under the Ministry of Education, UGC, and other prestigious institutions. He has delivered expert lectures, including one on 'Educational Resource Creation' at Manav Rachana University, Faridabad, and served as a resource person for a capacity-building program on 'Bhartiya Jyan Parampara' at the Central University of South Bihar, Gaya, IIT Patna and Patna University. His scholarly contributions include publications on Indian languages, NEP 2020, and Indian agricultural philosophy, alongside numerous research papers and conference presentations. Passionate about integrating traditional knowledge with modern education, he continues to work towards advancing interdisciplinary learning and pedagogical innovation.
