On 4 July 2025, Amaltas College of Education honoured the memory of its founder, Dr. Saroj Agarwal, whose vision and dedication gave life to the institution. As in every year, the occasion was marked with a tree plantation, reflecting her deep love for plants. This year, a mango sapling was planted by her daughter, Mrs. Ranjana Sinha, whose generosity made the construction of the college building possible.
The programme began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp, followed by a beautiful rendition of some of Dr. Agarwal’s favourite bhajans by Nirupama Kumari.
Dr. Agarwal was born on 8 September 1928 and laid the foundation for the college building. She passed away on 4 July 2014, at the age of 86, before she could witness the arrival of the first batch of students in 2016. Though she is no longer with us, her values, commitment to education, and pioneering spirit continue to inspire our work. May her legacy remain a guiding light for generations to come.
