Constitution Day was celebrated on 26th November 2025 in the auditorium of Amaltas College of Education, Indrapuri, Rohtas. The programme commenced with a stirring rendition of Vande Mataram by B.Ed. students (2025-27 batch).
B.Ed. trainee Rajnikant then read out the Preamble of the Constitution, explaining how it guarantees fundamental rights to every citizen and addressing some of the common misconceptions people hold about those rights. A quiz competition, organised by B.Ed. trainees Anjali and Pratibha under the expert guidance of Librarian Shri Sumant Kumar Pandey, engaged participants in testing their constitutional knowledge. Trainees Amarjit and Amit followed with a balanced PowerPoint presentation tracing the drafting of the Constitution and its journey to the present day. The cultural segment featured B.Ed. trainee Lalti performing the song Dagar Hai Mushkil, and Pushpraj delivering an energetic dance performance to the tune of Vande Mataram.
In his closing address, Assistant Professor Shri Prabal Pratap Singh traced the Constitution’s journey from drafting to implementation, reminding the gathering that 26th November is also observed as National Law Day – marking the day in 1949 when the Constituent Assembly formally adopted the Constitution, which came into force on 26th January 1950. He noted that the day has been observed as Constitution Day annually since 2015.
The programme was anchored by B.Ed. trainee Richa Pandey, and the vote of thanks was delivered by B.Ed. trainee Nikita.
