Amaltas College of Education was founded in 2016 to prepare future educators with the knowledge, skills, and values to make a lasting difference in classrooms and communities. Located in Indrapuri, Rohtas, Bihar, the college serves a region where the demand for trained teachers is urgent and growing.
Amaltas College builds on the legacy of Amaltas Niketan, a rural K–12 school established in 1999 to bring quality education to first-generation learners. Over the years, the school has become a trusted name in the area, with many of its students going on to study and work across India and abroad. At the heart of that success was the dedication and passion of its teachers, and Amaltas College was founded to prepare more educators like them, reaching more communities in need.
Today, with over 25 schools operating within a 10-kilometer radius, our graduates have direct pathways into teaching from the moment they qualify. While deeply rooted in the local community, our programs are aligned with national priorities in teacher education, ensuring that every Amaltas graduate is ready to meet the challenges of education both here in Bihar and across India.

Lions Quest is a global program for social and emotional learning (SEL), equipping young people with skills like empathy, decision-making, and responsible citizenship. Guided by our Secretary, Ms. Ratna Choudhry, a certified Lions Quest Master Trainer, we integrate SEL into teacher training and connect with local schools through joint initiatives.
