He has been a member of the University Academic Council and the University Admission Committee of V.K.S.U., Arrah, and has served on various advisory bodies including PM Shree Navodaya Vidyalaya, Rohtas.

Dr, Singh has a Ph.D. in Botany, and a Masters also in Botany from Kanpur Univeristy.
